#89. The Drill Hall, Ramsey. 14.4.18.

Following on from the success of ‘Who's Who’ in 2016 and ‘The Abbey Road 5’ in 2017, it was the turn of West London’s fav covers band, The Phantoms & local favourite’s ‘Treble Damage’ to provide the entertainment at the Ramsey Arts Festival’s ‘Rock & Indie Night’ at the historic Drill Hall in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire.
It was not only the Phantoms (playing their first ever public gig in these parts) that made the long slog up North but also the bands ever loyal hardcore following who joined the 200 strong expectant crowd at what turned out to be a truly fantastic night of live music. The Phantoms kicked off proceedings and soon had the sell-out crowd dancing along for the next hour and a bit to their well-chosen selection of catchy pop & indie classics. They even had the bar staff up dancing on the bar!
With the standard set, next up were Treble Damage (one of the top live draws in Cambridgeshire) who duly delivered a headline set packed full of blistering rock and blues covers, sending all present home happy (& with their ears ringing)!
Thanks to Tim the sound man for making both bands sound so great plus massive thanks to the Ramsey Arts Festival for laying on this event in such a truly brilliant live music venue & inviting the Phantoms to be a part of it. Here’s hoping we can do it again sometime in the future.

The Phantoms were: Mark Gibson (lead vocals & keys), Kevin Rogers (guitar), Jason Biggs (guitar & vocals), Jon Novice (bass & vocals) & Alun Westoll (drums & vocals).
