#92. The General Roy, Feltham. 21.7.18.

The rain held off as promised & Feltham’s finest basked in the summer sun to the strains of the semi acoustic (Ph)eltham Phantoms at the 2018 General Roy Summer garden party.
As the afternoon progressed the boys delivered three sets of the usual crowd pleasers, albeit not at the usual volume!
Highlights of the afternoon were Pulp’s ’Common People’ with the band accompanied on stage by tambourine legend Charlie, ‘Jonny B Good’ by Chuck Berry accompanied by keyboard wizard Sam (the Phantom’s keyboard has never had so many notes played on it!) & ELO’s ‘Mr Blue Sky’ appropriately played against the backdrop of a beautiful blue Feltham sky.
And so, as the sun set, the Phantoms left it up to the DJ to continue the entertainment late into the night.
After previous years of rain it was great to finally get to play in the Roy’s garden and the band look forward to seeing you back there in December for our traditional Christmas party (but hopefully inside this time round)!
Thanks to Jodie & all the staff at The General Roy for again inviting us to play, as well as all the punters in the packed garden for your support.

The Phantoms were: Mark Gibson (lead vocals & keys), Kevin Rogers (guitar), Jason Biggs (guitar & vocals), Jon Novice (bass & vocals) & Alun Westoll (drums & vocals). With special guests Sam on keys & Charlie on Tambourine.
